H-CUE

I am a 22 year old graphic designer from Detroit. I find solace in classic movie romances and am perpetually fascinated and perplexed by technology. This blog focuses on both my personal and professional art and design projects.

Hand Lettering Challenge by H-Cue

Illustrate the following words and/or phrases as a typographic representation of their interpreted meaning. Typography, illustrated by hand, should obviously be the main focus. The words/phrases can be added to or done out of order.

1. Anachronism
2. But why not?
3. Candy Necklace
4. Dainty Darling
5. Eat your words.
6. Fat
7. Go to sleep.
8. Hydrate
9. In cold blood.
10. Jumble Jumble
11. Kind of an asshole.
12. Lemon Cordial
13. More sweet than sour.
14. Naughty
15. Open up.
16. Pound cake is boring!
17. Q & A
18. Rust
19. So, where are we going?
20. Television
21. Unlaced
22. Voluptuous
23. Whiskey over wine.
24. X marks the spot.
25. Yell Louder
26. Zero Gravity

- - - -

As an aside, my plan of attack will be to work on this consistently - although I don’t see myself finishing one every day. And I’m keeping it grayscale.

Also my brain spat out the above words/phrases and I didn’t stop them from happening so sorry if they’re weird but I like them.
